I’m a professional IT delivery manager and consultant. I specialise in managing teams to deliver solutions.
After the traditional developer/ analyst/ consultant route I started a .NET software house which I ran for eight years before taking to trade sale.
For the last ten years I have been project manager, programme manager, portfolio manager and senior IT manager for a variety of organisations in the high transaction online/ ecommerce space.
Achievements include managing a complete redevelopment of Ladbrokes eGaming portal (increasing gross profit margin by over 40%), working with SEGA to deliver the online version of Football Manager (the longest running game franchise in Europe), creating a systems integration team from scratch for Ericsson Services, taking the SOA division of O2 from a small offshore team to a case study on how to succeed with SOA and offshore development, working with Lloyds’ digital banking programme, and moving Evolution Gaming from a small development operation to a delivery factory able to win Live Casino Supplier of the Year in the EGR B2B Awards for two years running.
My approach is based on a few simple principles:

Teams good people working together, motivated, clear on what the team is doing, and enjoying their role in it.
Projects fast, resilient to change, ideally agile but whatever works given the environment, culture and resources available. Professional project management; risks, change, RAID, GANTT, business case, CBA, all that good stuff.
Customers internal stakeholders, external customers, communications, expectations, trust, business focus, user centred design.
And delivery. You can have the best strategy, the best architecture, the best UI in the world – its nothing without delivery.
